The Dealey Spelling Bee Training Sessions will begin October 6th.
If you are interested in competing in the Dealey Montessori and International Academy Spelling Bee, you will submit an interest form to Ms. Meinhardt by clicking on "I want to participate" below. The Dealey Spelling Bee is open to students in 4th-8th grades. We will meet on Wednesdays after school from 4:00-4:45 leading up to the Dealey Spelling Bee on December 3rd. I will prepare and train students for competing in a spelling bee. It is not a requirement to come to the training sessions, but would be advantageous to attend.

- Greek and Latin roots and endings
- Spelling strategies and tactics
- Voice projection
- Stage presence
The Dealey Spelling Bee will be held December 3rd, 2021
Students who wish to compete in the school spelling bee will have months of preparation leading up to the contest in December. We will take the winner and a runner-up to the Dallas ISD Spelling Bee in February in the school auditorium. The winners will advance to the Dallas County Spelling Bee before moving on to state.
